By June 19, 2018News

The Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco big-block/small-block Modifieds are back at Outlaw Speedway Wednesday, June 20. The STSS returns after a season away from the Dundee, N.Y., four-tenths-mile track.

STSS Modifieds race 50 laps for a $25,000-plus pay structure offering $5,000 to win, $1,000 for 10th and $400 to take the green in the ‘Outlaw Showdown’ special.

Stewart Friesen leads the STSS Halmar North Region standings into Outlaw over Rick Laubach, Jerry Higbie, Billy Decker and Mike Mahaney – all of whom are expected to be in attendance.

New Jersey-Pennsylvania drivers Ryan Godown, Duane Howard and Mike Gular have set plans to invade the Finger Lakes Region.

Defending series champion Andy Bachetti and red-hot Anthony Perrego will look to recover from finishes outside the top-10 in the season opener at Orange County Fair Speedway.

Mat Williamson, who experienced engine trouble at OCFS in May, will officially make his debut for the Behrent’s Performance Warehouse team as a teammate to Tommy Meier.

Dominant across the Northeast – including his Friday night home at Outlaw – is Matt Sheppard, who will be at the controls of the Sweeteners Plus No. 92s.

Veteran Alan Johnson won the Outlaw Modified main this past Friday and would love to take home the top prize. Track owner Tyler Siri has added Danny Johnson to a two-car stable looking for the big payday.
