Richest Short Track Super Series Fueled By VP Event Of 2017 Takes Place Sunday, July 30 At Susquehanna Speedway

The richest Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By VP big-block/small-block Modified event of this season takes place this Sunday, July 30 at Susquehanna Speedway.

$30,670 is the posted purse for 50 laps of racing on the Susky red clay during the York County Nationals, with $10,000 going to the winner. This is just the third time in the 41-race history of the series that $10,000 is allocated for a winner.

Through-the-field pay is also strong with $1,000 reserved for 10th and $400 just to take the green flag.

Some of the Northeast’s top names will tackle the event including Von Dohren, Strunk, Howard, Friesen, defending winner Godown, Pauch Sr. and Jr., Rudolph, Watt, Laubach, Mills, Watson, Jester, Horton, Van Horn, Cozze, Kressley, Smith, Hendrickson and many, many more.

A quick two-division program is on the docket with Central PA Legends accompanying the Modifieds in a $500-to-win 20-lap main.

Pit gates open Sunday at 3 p.m. Grandstand gates are unlocked at 4 p.m. Hot laps hit the track at 6:20 p.m., with racing promptly at 7 p.m.

Adult grandstand admission is $25. Seniors (ages 60 and over) and Students (ages 13-17) pay $15. Kids 12 and under are FREE. Pit admission is $35, with no license required.
